Welcome to the Parkland Art League
About Us
The Parkland Art League is a group of over 80 artists whose objectives are: to encourage friendship among persons interested in art, to awaken and sustain their interest in art and to exhibit the art of our members. In addition we offer the public the opportunity to purchase original art. Members are provided opportunities to advance their skills by offering a lending library of instructional DVDs, having exceptional artist demonstrators at monthly meetings and hosting workshops taught by artists who excel in their craft.

For the September Meeting, the 10th, 7pm, our presenter will be
Amanda D'Agostino

Amanda D'Agostino is a self-taught award-winning representational artist, an elected board member of the Allied Artists of Schuylkill County, and she holds membership in Lehigh Art Alliance, American Women Artists, and Allied Artists of America.
She will often select limited palettes of unusual color combinations to achieve the emotional impact she wants the viewer to feel. Amanda imbues each landscape, nocturne, and flower painting with her love for the natural space, using a variety of strokes, blending, glazing, and palette knife work to compose scenes that capture the essence of the real space, reimagined through her own lens.
Her expressive work has juried into several regional and national shows since she started competing in 2021, and her 10" x 10" oil painting "Dogwood Reverie" won Best Beginner in the Plein Air Salon competition in May 2022 and juried into Art of the State at the State Museum of Pennsylvania (September 2023 - Jan. 2024).
