About Us
The Parkland Art League is a group of artists whose objectives are: to encourage friendship among persons interested in art, to awaken and sustain their interest in art and to exhibit the art of our members. In addition we offer the public the opportunity to purchase original art. Members are provided opportunities to advance their skills by offering a lending library of instructional DVDs, having exceptional artist demonstrators at monthly meetings and hosting workshops taught by artists who excel in their craft. URGENT: Members, we need your help! We need candidates for the following positions: PRESIDENT and VICE PRESIDENT. Our president has been serving for a while and currently we do not have a vice president due to Marianne’s passing. Do we have any self-nominations for President or Vice President? Our president, Deb, has a lot going on, and we need your help.
Valerie Schramak is looking for someone to complete the annual audit. It usually takes about 1-2 hours to go through to match up records with the bank statements. If anyone can help out, reach out to her at vschramak@yahoo.com.

Mural Painting in Emmaus! Are you interested in assisting? Jill Stanley mentioned at May's meeting that we could assist in painting a mural. Contact Jill or Melissa with the Emmaus Arts Commission if you are interested.

Ilene Rubin will be facilitating a new open studio for Bethlehem Palette Club beginning Wednesday, January 7th, 10-1pm, where artists may work on their own unguided projects at their own pace. It will run every Wednesday at Seidersville Hall (the community center building), Lower Saucon Township Building, 3700 Old Philadelphia Pike, Bethlehem, PA 18015. Ample free parking is available. It is free for all Bethlehem Palette Club members. If you are a member of BPC and are interested in attending, contact Ilene at Ilene@IleneRubin.com. RSVP on an ongoing basis is not necessary. NO instruction, bring your own supplies and snacks/lunch.
Rita Richetti is teaching a six-part series at Art of the Woman in Emmaus on the third Sundays of each month from 1-3:30pm. June’s artist is Vincent Van Gogh.
Rose Mavis is continuing her oil classes at Art Beat Cafe on Thursday Afternoons.
Upcoming Shows featuring our Members
Deb Garlicki's painting, “Bethlehem, Pa., Celebrates,” has been accepted into a juried show at Peddler’s Village in Lahaska, Bucks County. The 40th Annual Bucks Fever Art and Sculpture Exhibition runs June 19-July 19 at the Peddler’s Village Visitor and Event Center. The show
is hosted by Peddler’s Village in partnership with the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce.
Val Shramak, Deb Haaf, Jeanne Stock and Kay Stauffer will be in the Northwestern Lehigh Artist Showcase at the new Weisenberg Township Community Center from August 1 - October 31.

Parkland Art League was well represented at the LAA Winter Exhibit! Congratulations to all! Joy Barnes, Karen Benco, Janet Dance, Howard Ellsworth, Sylvia Roth, Ilene Rubin, Jill Stanley and Kay Stauffer were juried into the exhibit.
Congratulations to PAL members who had work juried into LAA's 90th Anniversary Celebration Show at the Allentown Art Museum.
2026 Art Sales, January through June - 14 Sales Congratulations to our Members
Jill Stanley, Deb Garlicky, Liz Kenny, Karen Benco and Sylvia Roth were in the Baum Auction Art Show and sold their paintings.
At Blue Mountain Winery, Linda Kreckel sold 2 paintings, Icy Reflections and Baby Bluebird, and Joy Barnes sold Wildlife 3. Liz Kenny also sold 1 painting at BMV
At Lower Macungie Library, Linda Kreckel sold 2 paintings, Winter Tree and Lanark Road Snow.
